It is such a shame that Australia survivor is so clearly scripted. Yes the US survivor is likely scripted as well but they put twists and plot changes in there at least
I think it’s edited heavily. I think producers pick favorites and adjust the game (including having types of challenges that benefit certain players they think are ‘good tv’ during crucial times). I don’t think they tell the players what to say.
