I have just watched series 8 of Mafs Australia on tv here in the UK it ended a couple of days ago.I remember feeling shocked by people’s attitudes towards Liam being bisexual..Nowhere ne ar as hostile or mocking b ut I’ m a bit confused do you nit have gay,bi,trans ( LGBTQ+ ) people openly leading their lives or on mainstream tv over there?? Why do people seem to ha e a knee jerk shocked slightly mkcking attitude ..we even have a few trans news readers ,politicians & being gay ,lesbian ir bisexual is just part of the norm in tbe UK..Is it different in Australia or something?? I woukd absolutely love to visit the place & Sydney looks incredle ,it looks pretty hip & arty like a few British cities ha e a very open European vibe & the LGBTQ scene is pretty mai nstream I’ m really happy to say over the past 5 yrs e en moreso since gay marriage was legalised about 11yrs ago .I.am NOT CRITICISING Australian people just asking a question based on a surprised observation from the laxt series of Mafs..the British & Australian sense of humour & maby of the slang terms are tbe same..really tickles me how similar we are in some wats .lol.& we say ‘ strewth’! lol
